Very old Kachin Dao, North Burma

                                 

An old and very nice complete Kachin Dao.
The very heavy flaring blade measures 47cms long with the sword being 62cms long.
The deadly blade does show lovely laminations with return hairpins.
Total length on the scabbard is 81cms.
15cms wooden hilt is bound with braided rattan and still shows much of its black resin coating too.
A classic head hunters sword complete with original scabbard.
Very good condition.
